Central Alum: NBC Vice President and Washington DC Bureau Chief Kenneth Strickland Visits Joliet Central
NBC Vice President and Washington DC Bureau Chief, Kenneth Strickland, visited students in the Black Student Union and US History class at Central last week. Strickland is a Joliet Central High School alumnus from the Class of 1985. He was named Mr. Steelman his senior year at Joliet Central and was a member of the football team.

Joliet Central High School Athletics will honor Central Boys Basketball Coach Larry Thompson for winning his 300th game as a head boys varsity basketball coach on February 21, 2019, at 5 p.m. prior to the Central v. West Varsity Boys Basketball Game at Joliet Central High School. Tickets for this game are pre-sale only. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are available online via GoFan.co.

Alumni Spotlight: Joliet Central Class of 2003 Aarron Loggins to Perform in Superbowl
Joliet Central High School Class of 2003 alumnus Aarron Loggins will sign in American Sign Language during the National Anthem "Star Spangled Banner" and “America The Beautiful” during the pregame festivities of the Superbowl LIII on Sunday, February 3, 2019. He will perform the National Anthem with Gladys Knight and Chloe and Belle. The performance will be televised live on CBS prior to kickoff.
