Each year the Joliet West National Honor Society hosts the Tiny Tigers Fun Fair. The Tiny Tigers Fun Fair is set up to sponsor a child and family in need. For this years Tiny Tigers Fun fair, the Joliet West NHS will be sponsoring a 10 year-old boy named Richard Furr.
Richard was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In the summer of 2016 Richard began going to Easterseals for physical therapy leading up to a major tendon-lengthening surgery. Following the surgery, Richard carried on with physical therapy twice a week. At Easterseals Richard discovered one of his favorite parts of his therapy, his adaptive bike. This adaptive bike is necessary for Richard’s development and growth. The bike helps Richard live, learn, progress in therapy, be more independent and most importantly: have fun!
Our goal is to be able to give Richard his own adaptive bike to aid in his everyday life. Richard is a wonderful, creative, and loving boy who is beyond deserving of this special gift. Help us reach this goal with any possible contributions.
